Exterior Insulation Finish System Repair
EIFS (Exterior Insulation Finish System) became very popular in North America in the 1970’s and serves as the exterior cladding system on many buildings across the US. EIFS is aesthetically pleasing and an economical cladding system, thus its popularity. However, it is one of the least durable cladding systems used in commercial construction. With its soft characteristics, it is prone to damage from impact by lawnmowers, vehicles, hail and objects thrown against it.
Repairing damaged EIFS requires more than simply covering the damaged areas with caulking or a filler purchased at the local hardware store. Proper long-term repair requires correct product selection and repair techniques.
