The African American Library at the Gregory School which was the first African American School in the city of Houston, Texas was restored in 2008. The restoration project consisted of spot masonry restoration on areas of the building that had deteriorated from exposure to the elements over the years. The project also included replacement of all lintels and stripping of previously painted brick.
